VA-11 Hall-A

VA-11 Hall-A is a cyberpunk bartending visual novel, based in glitch city. It tells the stories of "background characters", whose lives arn't as spectacular as the things going on in the background of the story, which gives the game a very cozy feel. You hear about the happenings of the world though your guests, and the news app on your phone, but none of the action ever happens in your bar. I think this is a pretty rarely done concept and it was executed very well in VA-11 Hall-A

Some people say VA-11 Hall-A is boring, but i think these people are simply looking at it wrong. You shouldn't see VA-11 Hall-A as a game, but as a visual novel. The drinks you give to your guests are more like dialogue options then gameplay elements. IMO the only part of VA-11 Hall-A that i would call a game is the mini-game model warrior julianne (which i still havn't beaten).

I've always had an interest in bartending, i remember being.. maybe around 10? and getting a cookbook filled with recipes for mocktails. I quickly started making and serving them for my family. And yet the idea of actually becoming a bartender wasnt in my mind untill i played this visual novel. The cozyness of the bar, the amount of comunication you have with the guests, and of course the beautiful drinks you make.. im so exited to become a full fledged bartender!
